Reviews

After 'Favour of Night' Robyn sang what I think was an improv with keyboards featuring the recurring lyrics 'colonel cathedral and his spies' before starting 'The Man Who Invented Himself'.
Before one song, Robyn attempted to fit a capo onto his guitar, but he struggled to fit it, calling it a 'tourniquet'. Soon after a stagehand approached the stage with a different capo which Robyn was able to use successfully. I realised that this happened to be the same bloke who had poured my drink behind the bar at the start of the night! Robyn thanked the man saying 'Thank you, that was Harkit, and Harkit controls the building, and now we know why.'
Some other snippets of Robyn's on stage banter:
'Someone told me it is forty years to the day
since the release of 'I Often Dream of Trains' and sometimes I act like an old man, like when you go back to the 1920’s and you could buy a sandwich for the price of a ha'penny, but you had to buy the ha'penny first, and they used to make lamps made out of losanges'
